Beach Pollution in Goa, India

Goa beach is located in the India smallest state Goa. The beach is unique because sacred cows roam freely on the sand, t would be a very special attraction that bring more tourists. However, they taking cover under tourists' umbrellas, and it is not a very hygienic combination. The animal always have some daises, and beach is for tourists enjoy and swimming. But the cows will pollute the place with their excreta, and they will bring the bed smell to the tourists. All in all, the beach too is polluted with dog, cow and other animal feces. Better wear shoes and socks to protect your feet. Also expect glass or metal bits and other rubbish on the beach. The beaches in Goa as all over India are the toilets and garbage pits for Indians.

I think the beach managers should focus on this issue. They should use some way that make those cows step away from the beach. May be the cows in beaches is a kind of attraction, but it is definitely effect tourists’ health. If I go to a beach for relaxing, I will not go to the place like that, I feel discussing. I don’t mean they should kill those animal, they just make them far away from the beaches. It is also a respect for tourists even the cows is represent some kind of religion things.

U.S Beach Pollution

U.S. beaches were in poor health in 2007, this is a disaster for the beaches. According to the Natural Resources Defense Council, which said that pollution in 2007 led to the second-highest number of beach closings and advisory days in 18 years .Some diseases such as skin rashes, pink eye, gastrointestinal illnesses, dysentery and hepatitis are happened to many tourists who stayed at beaches in US. The polluted not just in the sea water also in the sands. There several closing and advisory day findings by region: Gulf Coast, New York/New Jersey coast, Great Lakes, Hawaii . Those regions’ most beaches closed by pollution. The U.S beach pollution originates with a variety of sources, including human, animal, agricultural and industrial waste, as well as leaked motor oil and gasoline, among other contaminants flushed out to coastal regions. Swimming in contaminated beach water can expose people to harmful chemicals bacteria and viruses. The beach pollution issue in U.S is big and involve almost whole nation. People don’t even go to the beaches that close their home and many families don’t want to take their children to the beach either. The tourists also will stay away from beaches and go to other place instead.

The video that about Jones Beach , NY is shock to me after I watched it. I am realize that beach pollution is become worse than ever. Not just threat the economic but health. The U’S is the most powerful country in the world, they need to be a leader to deal with this issue. I think the stakeholders should take much responsibility and need more attention on it. The U.S Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC)said pollution factors include inadequate sewage and storm water systems as well as coastal development that removes natural buffers like wetlands, dunes and beach grass that help filter out pollution. And other way to solve the problem is that make standard or warning to the tourists or all people that avoid throw garbage on the beach side, and monitor people’s behavior. Also, they can hire more clearer to clean the beaches. Moreover, the sewage waste and water should be controlled to prevent flow to the sea water.

Beach polltion on Port Philip Bay, Australia

The beach has been polluted seriously. Most lifeguards are understandably worried about swimmers drowning while they're on the job, but they more focus on combing the sand for syringes and broken glass. Sharp debris has plagued the area since 2005, when a seven-year-old boy was pricked by a needle in the sand and rushed to the hospital. Last year, the Port Philip Council picked up one thousand tons of trash on the shore.

This is unbelievable truth. I am shocked and I am starting worry about that I will never go to the beaches again. The pollution is not just hurt people’s health but their life. I cannot imagine that I will go to a beaches that have syringes, broken glass, I will very concern my life safety when I am in this beaches. I think the beach management is not doing their job, they should find some ways do deal with it before next victim. The syringes are extremely dangerous because they carry thousand virus. The beach manager should prohibit tourists throw this kind of garbage on the beach, and ask them don’t bring these stuff in to the beach.
